Pricing, cancellation and refund policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Short version: try YathraBook free before you pay a rupee, cancel whenever you like, and keep the access you have already paid for. Subscription fees are not refundable once a billing period has started, because the free trial is there so that you never have to buy blind. If a payment goes wrong on our side, we return it in full.

YathraBook is operated by PREACTON, a sole proprietorship based in India ("we", "us", "our").

What it costs

YathraBook is one plan, billed monthly, at the price shown on our pricing page. Prices are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes. There is no setup fee, no per-invoice charge and no hidden cost. The price on the pricing page at the moment you subscribe is the price you pay.

The free trial is your trial

Every new account starts with a free trial, and no card or payment detail is required to begin it. You get the full product for the whole trial period, so you can decide with your own trips, your own passengers and your own invoices, before any money changes hands.

That trial is what a refund window would otherwise be for. It is why the paid subscription is sold on the terms below.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time, from inside the app, in a few taps. No email, no phone call and no reason required.

  • Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end your current period.
  • You keep full access until the last day of the period you have already paid for.
  • Nothing is deleted when the period ends. Your records stay, and data you captured offline still syncs.
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date so that the instruction reaches your bank before the debit is presented.
  • You can subscribe again later, and pick up where you left off.

Cancelling an autopay mandate

If you set up autopay, a recurring e-mandate sits with your bank or UPI application under the Reserve Bank of India’s framework for recurring transactions. You are always in control of it:

  • You will get a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before every charge, and you can decline that charge.
  • A charge above the RBI-notified limit, presently ₹15,000, requires you to authenticate it separately before it can go through.
  • You can pause or cancel the mandate at any time from inside the app, and also directly from your bank or UPI app.
  • Once cancelled, no further amount can be debited under that mandate. If one is, tell us and we will refund it in full.
  • Cancelling the mandate is not the same as losing access. You keep the period you paid for.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. We do not refund partly used months, and we do not refund because a subscription was left running and not used. This is a fair term because the free trial gives you the full product to evaluate before you pay, cancellation is available at any moment from inside the app, and cancelling never takes away time you have already bought.

The exceptions below are absolute. In each of them we refund in full, without argument, and you do not need to ask twice:

  • A duplicate charge, or the same period billed twice.
  • Any amount debited after you cancelled, or after your mandate was cancelled.
  • A charge taken when the subscription was never activated, or when a fault on our side stopped you getting the access you paid for.
  • A charge you did not authorise, once verified with Razorpay and your bank.
  • An amount debited that is more than the price shown at the time you subscribed.
  • A payment we are required to refund by law or by an order of a competent authority.

Outside those cases we will still look at a genuine request on its merits, and we would rather sort out a real problem than keep money we have not earned. Any such refund is at our discretion and does not set a precedent.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@yathrabook.com from the email address on your account, or use the contact form at yathrabook.com/contact. Include your registered mobile number, the date and amount of the charge, and the Razorpay payment reference if you have it.

  • We acknowledge every refund request within 48 hours.
  • We decide it within 7 working days of receiving the details we need.
  • If we say no, we will tell you why in writing.

How an approved refund is paid

Approved refunds are sent back through Razorpay to the original payment method, to the same card, UPI handle or bank account the payment came from. We cannot pay a refund to a different account, and we never pay refunds in cash or to a third party.

We initiate the refund within 2 working days of approving it. It normally reaches your account within 5 to 7 working days from that point. The exact time depends on your bank or card issuer, and we have no control over that leg of it. If it has not arrived after 10 working days, write to us with the reference and we will chase it.

We do not charge any processing or cancellation fee on a refund.

Chargebacks

If something looks wrong on a charge, please write to us first. We can usually fix it faster than a bank dispute can. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may suspend the account while the dispute is investigated, and we will provide the payment and access records to your bank.

Complaints about a payment

If you are not happy with how we handled a payment or a refund, write to support@yathrabook.com or use the contact form at yathrabook.com/contact. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. You may also raise the matter with the consumer forum having jurisdiction, or with the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.
