Terms and conditions

Last updated: 30 August 2026

YathraBook is operated by PREACTON, a sole proprietorship based in India ("we", "us", "our"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for the use of the YathraBook application, however you reach it, and this website (together, "the Service").

By creating an account, or by using the Service, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The Service is for your own driving or transport business.

  • You sign in with a one-time password sent to your mobile number. Keep that number, and the device it is on, under your control.
  • Never share a one-time password with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from YathraBook. We will never ask you for one.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • One account is for one driver or operator. Do not resell it or share it with other drivers.
  • Tell us immediately if you think someone else has used your account.

What the Service does, and does not do

YathraBook records your trips and expenses and produces numbered invoices as PDFs on your device. The core recording and invoicing flows are built to work with no network, and your records are backed up to our servers when a network is available.

It is a record-keeping and billing tool. It is not an accountant, a tax adviser or a GST filing service. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you bill, for your GST position, and for filing your own returns. We do not verify your invoices and we file nothing on your behalf.

Subscription and billing

  • Every new account starts on a free trial. No card and no payment details are required to begin.
  • When the trial ends, continuing to use the billing features requires a paid subscription at the price shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe.
  • Prices are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
  • The subscription renews for successive billing periods until you cancel.
  • We may change the price. We will tell you before a change takes effect on your renewal, and you are free to cancel instead of accepting it.

If you choose autopay, a recurring e-mandate sits with your bank or UPI application under the Reserve Bank of India’s framework: you are notified at least 24 hours before every charge, a charge above the RBI-notified limit needs you to authenticate it separately, and you can pause or cancel the mandate at any time from inside the app or from your bank. Cancelling stops future charges. It does not end the period you have already paid for, and it deletes nothing.

Cancellation and refunds are governed by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your data and your invoices

The trips, invoices, expenses and customer records you enter are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You give us only the licence we need to host, back up, transmit and display them so the Service can work for you, and that licence ends when you delete them. You can export your invoices as PDFs at any time, including after you cancel.

Where you enter a passenger’s personal details, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect them and for meeting your own obligations to that passenger. Our privacy policy explains how that works.

Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, invoice templates, the YathraBook name and logo are ours, protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own business while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense or create a derivative work from it, or remove any notice of ownership. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the Service without owing you anything for it.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Issue false, inflated or fraudulent invoices, or use the Service to help anyone evade tax.
  • Impersonate another person or business, or put someone else’s name, GSTIN or vehicle number on your invoices.
  • Upload anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or infringing someone else’s rights.
  • Break into, probe, scrape, overload or otherwise interfere with the Service or anyone else’s account, or introduce harmful code.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or generate one-time passwords.
  • Resell, sublicense or share your account, or run the Service on behalf of drivers who are not you.
  • Use the Service in a way that breaks any Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Except where the breach is serious or the law requires immediate action, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

Availability, suspension and termination

Recording a trip, creating an invoice and looking at your history keep working with no network at all. Those flows do not depend on us being up. Cloud backup, sync, payments and support depend on the internet and on infrastructure we do not control, so they may be unavailable during maintenance or an outage. We aim for high availability but do not offer a guaranteed uptime percentage or service credits.

We may change, add or withdraw features. If we withdraw something significant, or discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your records.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or if we are required to by law. If your subscription lapses you can still open the app, and data you captured offline still syncs, so nothing you recorded is stranded. The billing features stop until you subscribe again.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind. Nothing in this section limits any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost profits or goodwill, or for loss of data beyond what keeping a reasonable backup would have prevented. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the subscription fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, the content of the invoices you issue, or your failure to meet your own tax or data-protection obligations.

Complaints

Any complaint about the Service, a payment, or anything else goes to support@yathrabook.com, or to the contact form at yathrabook.com/contact. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may take the matter to the consumer forum with jurisdiction, or to the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.

Changes and general

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and for a material change we will give you notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, cancel and stop using it.

  • These terms, with the privacy policy, the refund policy and the delivery policy, are the whole agreement between us.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if the business is sold, on notice to you.
  • If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
  • Neither of us is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our control.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to any right you have to approach a consumer forum where you reside.
