UPI QR code generator

Make a scannable QR for your taxi fare. Enter your UPI ID, set the amount, and show it to the passenger.

Nothing is uploaded. Your UPI ID and the amount stay on this device, so no server of ours ever sees them.

Your payment details

The ID you see in GPay, PhonePe or your bank app.

The passenger sees this before they pay.

Leave blank to let the passenger type the fare.

Shows up in the payment, handy for your records.

Your QR will appear here

Fill in your UPI ID and name to see it.

How to use it

  1. 1

Enter your UPI ID and name

Copy the UPI ID from GPay, PhonePe or your bank app. It looks like name@bank. Add the name the passenger should see.

  2. 2

    Type the fare

Put in the amount for this trip so the passenger only has to confirm. Add the bill number in the note if you keep records.

  3. 3

    Show, save or print it

Hold the phone up for the passenger to scan. Or download the picture and send it on WhatsApp, or print it once and keep it in the car.

What a UPI QR code does for a driver

A UPI QR code is a picture of your payment address. The passenger opens any UPI app, points the camera at it, and the money lands in your bank account in a few seconds. No card machine, no change to hunt for, no writing your number on a slip of paper.

The useful part for a taxi trip is the fixed amount. When you set the fare in the QR, the passenger cannot mistype it and you do not have to check the figure at the end of a long day. Add the bill number in the note and the payment shows up in your statement against the right trip.

A QR without an amount is worth keeping too. Print one, stick it on the back of the front seat, and it works for every trip you run. Make a fresh one with the amount only when the fare is settled and you want the payment to be exact.

Works with every UPI app

This is a standard NPCI UPI link, not an app-specific code. Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and bank apps like SBI, HDFC and ICICI all read it the same way.

Common questions

Is this UPI QR generator safe to use?

Yes. The QR code is made inside your own browser. Your UPI ID, your name and the amount are never sent to us, never stored and never logged. You can turn off your data connection after the page loads and it will still work.

Does the money come to me directly?

Yes. The passenger pays straight into the bank account linked to your UPI ID. YathraBook is not a payment company and never touches the money. There is no commission and no settlement delay from our side.

Does it work with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM?

Yes. This makes a standard UPI QR code, so any UPI app can scan it. That covers Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and every bank app that supports UPI.

Can I fix the fare amount in the QR code?

Yes. Type the fare and the amount is locked into the QR, so the passenger only has to confirm. Leave the amount blank and you get an open QR that you can reuse for any trip, with the passenger typing the fare.

Do I need to register as a merchant first?

No. Your normal personal UPI ID works. If you collect a lot every month, ask your bank about a merchant UPI ID, because personal accounts have daily limits and merchant accounts get better records for tax time.

What if I have no internet in the car?

Save the QR as a picture or print it once, and you can show it any time without a network. The passenger still needs a connection on their phone to complete the payment, since UPI itself runs online.

How do I put my UPI QR on the bill itself?

Use YathraBook. It prints a payment QR on every invoice automatically, with that trip fare already filled in, so the passenger scans the bill and pays without you typing anything.
